Traditional restaurant in the province of Brindisi


One day, siblings Luigi, Antonio and Mariolina made it their mission to transform a home in the historical centre of San Vito dei Normanni into a traditional restaurant and have dedicated their grandmother Mena's home to authentic and high quality Apulian cuisine.

The restaurant 

Our chef Antonio Errico works by following a few but simple rules, maintaining simplicity, authenticity, whilst keeping in mind seasonal products, which result in simply delicious dishes. Thanks to his profound knowledge of Apulian traditions, you are able to taste unique recipes, which were rediscovered from historical records in the Brindisi region and province of Puglia. Enjoy this all in a warm and welcoming place, where you can take a trip inside the history of San Vito dei Normanni, in an atmosphere that resembles the old Apulian houses of years' gone by.

Our kitchen

Passion and love for tradition are the main focal points of the dishes created at the Locanda di Nonna Mena. The use of quality raw materials, coming exclusively from local and trusted suppliers, allows us to offer you delicious recipes which use modest and common ingredients, but are unsurpassed in taste. By stopping at our inn, it does not only mean that you have the joy of tasting dishes prepared to perfection, but you also get to again experience an entire culinary and cultural tradition that deserves to be handed down throughout the years.
